ASP Declassified Survival Guide: Choosing a Major / Advice for the Undecided
July 8 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Whether you have difficulty deciding for a major or have hand-picked one since you were six years old, we are here to lead you through college application, as well as the college experience as a pre-med, social science or stem nerd.
Do you have dreams of being pre-med but don’t know what to look for in a school? Are you afraid that your high school experience will hinder you in being accepted into your dream university/medical school? In this episode of our survival guide series, we will show you what to look for in this first step in achieving your dreams, and show that anything you dream is possible!
Are you interested in people–in the way they function, interact and live their daily lives? Come to our workshop for social science majors. Even if you are not one, come and let us convince you to pick it as your major.
Are you interested in entering the STEM field (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics)? Meet and ask all the questions to a current Senior Engineering student.
The ASP Declassified Survival Guide (shout out, Bella) is a series of workshops developed by students for students. These conversations are meant to de-mystify, de-stress, and de-code the language around college admissions and matriculation. The 2020 ASP summer interns feel very strongly about sharing the knowledge that they have gained on everything from admissions to financial aid to choosing a major that makes sense to navigating housing (even during this crazy time) to finding deals on books.
