First Generation Student Panel
August 10, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Hear firsthand from current Columbia undergraduates who are first in their families to attend a four-year college. Students will discuss their experiences transitioning to college, their college search process and tips that helped them along the way. This panel offers the opportunity to learn more about these distinct experiences in our campus community and allows for you to ask questions of students who are directly involved in these communities.

Note: This event is not hosted by ASP. As we continue to work through what virtual college visits look like, ASP will recommend certain college-sponsored information sessions for students to learn more about college choices and the myriad of options available to them.
Columbia University is a 4-year private college in New York City that is committed to financially supporting low-income students and ensuring that they are able to graduate on time. We have ASP alumni that attend Columbia – as well as its sister school – Barnard College – and are happy to recommend it for any of our students who are considering attending college in New York City.
