Briana Jasso is extremely excited to be returning to Molina for her third year as the lead advisor! She was born and raised in Oak Cliff and graduated from Molina High School. Briana went on to be a first-generation college graduate of the University of Chicago with a major in Public Policy, a specialization in Education, and a minor in Spanish. She is honored to be serving students from her community and looks forward to continuing to help these
students achieve their highest aspirations!

Briana believes in the power of education. Since starting her position as lead at Molina, Briana has contributed to the accumulation of over $75 million in scholarships for Molina Jags and sent Molina graduates to some of the top colleges across the country including Brown, NYU, and Northeastern University. She also believes in the power of community and works hard to support the students who graduate from Molina beyond their time in high school. She is grateful to be working with ASP again and looks forward to empowering students in the same way her ASP college advisor empowered her.

In her spare time, Briana enjoys strength training, reading, and rewatching childhood animated favorites!

Lexi Facundo

Lexi Facundo is incredibly excited to return for her third year as an ASP College Advisor at Molina High School. Both of her parents attended Molina, so she’s thrilled for the chance to give back to the community that raised them. She attended the University of Texas at Austin (Hook ‘em!), where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sociology.

What Lexi wants for her students goes beyond an acceptance letter — she wants them to find a college that truly fits, that their family can afford, and that opens doors they didn’t even know were there. As a first-generation student herself, she knows how life changing a good education can be, and she believes every student deserves the same shot at one.

Lexi has helped students earn admission to universities both in Texas and across the country, and she brings a well-rounded expertise to every part of the process — from building a balanced college list to navigating financial aid. If you ask her, though, her favorite part of the job is sitting down with a student to work through a college essay. That’s when Lexi feels most connected to her students, as she helps them turn an application into a story that only they can tell.

Outside of the ASP office, Lexi enjoys psychoanalyzing reality TV personas, scrapbooking, and spending quality time with her friends and family.

Tony Balderaz

Tony Balderaz is happy to come back for his second year as an ASP college advisor at Molina! Tony is a 2025 graduate of Rice University with majors in Math and Policy Analysis! Tony was a first-generation college student who had spent his entire life believing college would be unaffordable. With no help besides his own, he was able to attend a college dedicated to meeting 100% of financial need, and graduated without paying anything at all.

At Rice, Tony took advantage of study abroad. He headlined the 2024 Tony World Tour with stops in Milan, Venice, Naples, Florence, Paris, Nice, London, Berlin, Munich, Vienna, and Bratislava, with residency in Rome.

Tony remembers the stress of navigating the admissions process alone, and he hopes to inspire other students when finding their paths, and to let them know that attending an affordable college is possible.
In his spare time, Tony enjoys practicing Italian, watching drama movies, and is Certified Beyhive. He most recently attended the Beyoncé Cowboy Carter Tour, twice.

Michelle Mejia

Michelle Mejia is excited to serve as an ASP College Advisor at Molina High School! She grew up in the Grand Prairie area and is a first-generation college graduate who attended the University of Chicago, where she studied Biology, with a focus in Global and Public Health, and Creative Writing.

Before becoming a College Advisor, Michelle worked on several research studies that sparked her interest in the many factors that shape a person’s health and well-being beyond the clinical setting. Through these experiences, she became especially interested in education as a social determinant of health and in how access to education and opportunity can affect individuals, families, and entire communities. Her interest in these topics also influenced her Creative Writing honors thesis, which she is now expanding into a larger nonfiction project exploring health, family, and experiences within immigrant communities.

These experiences ultimately strengthened Michelle’s desire to help students navigate college applications and discover opportunities they may not have known were available to them. As a first-generation student herself, she remembers how overwhelming the college application process could feel and how important her own college advisor was in helping her navigate it. At Molina, she hopes to provide that same support, helping students recognize what they are capable of while being someone they can rely on throughout the process.

When she is not helping students with college applications, Michelle enjoys writing, strength training, volunteering, and finding new teas to try.

Alejandra Contreras is proud to serve as an ASP College Advisor at Molina High School. Born and raised in Oak Cliff, she is a proud Molina Jaguar and alumna of the Molina B-Tech program, where she earned her Associate Degree in Business Administration. She is thrilled to return to her Jaguar family and give back to the community that helped shape her.

Alejandra went on to become a first-generation college graduate from Texas A&M University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. Throughout her college years, she spent her summers back in Dallas working to support students as they prepared for and transitioned into higher education. These experiences strengthened her passion for college access and ultimately led her to ASP.

As a College Advisor, Alejandra is passionate about ensuring that students are aware of the many opportunities available to them and feel empowered to pursue their goals after high school. She believes that college access is about more than simply getting students into college, it is about connecting them with resources, building confidence, and helping them build a future full of possibilities. She is also deeply passionate about community engagement and hopes to provide students with meaningful opportunities to give back and make an impact in the communities they call home.

Outside of work, Alejandra enjoys exploring new coffee shops around Dallas, staying involved in her community, reading and learning about something new whenever and wherever she can.
