My name is Sierra Levy, and I am incredibly excited to be the Lead ASP College Advisor for Roosevelt HS. After earning my Bachelor’s from the University of Oklahoma, my journey in K-12 education began in the classroom by teaching 7th-grade students in the neighborhoods of southeast and west Dallas. During this time, I earned my Master’s in Education from Southern Methodist University. That time in the classroom is what pushed me toward college advising, I saw how much students could grow once someone believed in them and helped them see what was possible. I can’t wait to work with Roosevelt this new school year!

Omogbolahan Gafari (oftenly referred to as Ola) is honored to work as an ASP College Advisor at Franklin D Roosevelt High School. He is a first-generation college graduate from Colgate University and he received his Bachelors in Arts in Educational Studies.

Before becoming a college advisor he spent the last three years building spaces on campus where students of all backgrounds could feel safe and have access to the resources necessary to successfully navigate their undergraduate years.

The reason Ola chose to become an education major is because he always wanted to bridge the inequality gap in the education system. As a result, working as a College Advisor and providing students with resources that he himself didn’t have is a step forward in his dream of resisting the systemic inequalities in education.
