Back by popular demand, Southwest Airlines is excited to host quarterly virtual conversations with Southwest Employees! These sessions are designed to help high school students learn about possible career paths in the aviation industry and prepare for their future. During this session, students will hear from the Southwest Talent Acquisition Team about resume building, interview basics, and how to stand out when applying for early‑career opportunities.There will also be time for Q&A at the end. Whether you see yourself flying planes or preparing them for takeoff, you won’t want to miss this event. Join us on March 24 to learn what it takes to prepare for your future career! What is ASP Family Transition Camp?
Transition Camp is a drop-in event designed to support students and families as they prepare for the transition to college. Students and/or families can stop by anytime during the event to get help, ask questions, and access resources that will make the transition smoother.
What is available for students?
Students will have access to assistance and presentations focused on finishing off the next steps for college enrollment. Support will be available for accessing college portals, understanding financial aid award letters, and getting answers to any remaining questions. UT Austin Admissions officers will also be available to provide support to admitted students!
What is available for families?
Families can attend presentations offered at the top of each hour covering topics such as understanding financial aid, deciding which college to attend, and preparing to support their students who will be leaving Dallas. Time and space will also be available for parent Q&A.
Presentation Schedule: 
  • 9:00 / 12:00 – Understanding Financial Aid
  • 10:00 / 1:00 – How to Choose a College
  • 11:00 / 2:00 – Getting Ready for your Student to Leave Dallas
First come first serve.  Registration will close when all spots are filled.
