Alexandra Clayton is the College Advisor serving Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and is also a proud BTWHSPVA alumn. Alexandra holds a B.A. in journalism from Penn State with minors in English and French and is originally from the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Alexandra has been an ASP college expert throughout the years working with students at Woodrow Wilson High School and multiple ILTexas charter schools across Tarrant County. Alexandra has a strong history of working with educational nonprofits in Dallas. After serving as a math fellow in Houston ISD and a program specialist at the Boys & Girls Club, Alexandra has found her home in North Texas. Her previous work in the nonprofit sector includes grant writing and program implementation for low-income residents to achieve stability in physical health, academics, and finances. She cultivated partnerships with Dallas Afterschool and the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas and presented sessions at national conferences. As an integral member of the ASP Dallas team, she has traveled the country visiting college campuses each year to stay on top of the most current admissions practices and policies.

Alexandra is bursting with glee to help students prepare for college. Editing essays is the highlight of her work. When not working with students, Alexandra cares for her special-needs rescue animals with her loving husband and enjoys a yoga practice to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
