Jade Burner is overjoyed to serve as the lead ASP college advisor for David W. Carter High School. Having grown up in the Dallas metroplex, it fills her heart with great pride being able to give back to it. She attended Xavier University of Louisiana and graduated with a dual degree in Political Science and French.
Before joining ASP, she spent five years serving as a Youth and Families Director for another local non-profit organization where she had the unique opportunity to serve as a champion of success for students in grades K-12. This experience ignited her desire to create greater equity within the education system. She is passionate about generating hope and vision for the ones who are our nation’s future. While she is aware of the challenges that lie ahead for students applying to college, she is prepared to show up and demonstrate that any mountain can be moved with a little belief. Her aim is to cultivate the next generation to discover the possibilities of their potential and make moves in light of the revelation.
Aside from being a champion of hope, Jade loves spending time with her husband, family, and friends, traveling, reading the Bible, exercising, and binge-watching the latest Netflix reality game series.
