Lizeth Gutierrez is extremely excited to be serving as an ASP lead advisor in North Dallas High School. Lizeth is native to Southeast Dallas and graduated from the School of Health Professions at Townview Magnet Center in DISD. She then went to UT Arlington to pursue her degree in Biology and was the first in her family to finish college. As a first generation student, she really became aware of the difficulty of navigating the college process with very little support from others.
To jump start her career, Lizeth worked at Hillcrest High School as the IB Biology and Anatomy and physiology teacher for 4 years. Working alongside seniors for four years and helping them through their college application journey, really sparked an interest in her about the college admissions process and the gap that certain students had. Having dealt with difficult situations applying to college herself, she took it upon herself to help as much as she could as a teacher, and ultimately decided to shift her career this year. She is very motivated and really hopes to help as many students as she can.
During her free time, Lizeth enjoys traveling and learning about different cultures, spending time with her family, and trying new foods around Dallas.
